Dan Johnson

Dan joined Newton Financial Solutions in 2013 after a 31-year career at Cub Foods, where he advanced from stock clerk to store manager. His extensive experience provided him with knowledge of business operations and the collaboration involved between employers and employees. 

At Newton Financial Solutions, Dan specializes in helping businesses and their employees with 401(k) plans. He also works closely with individuals and couples to develop personalized financial strategies designed to guide them toward retirement. In addition, Dan contributes to the firm’s investment decision-making process. He is dedicated to helping clients build strong financial foundations by offering tailored investment solutions for every stage of life, including education planning, retirement planning, and business planning—particularly in the area of employer-sponsored retirement plans. Dan is known for his strong work ethic and commitment to outstanding client service.

Professional Background
Dan attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College in 1984 and later St. Cloud State University in 1988. He is actively involved in the community, serving with the Cambridge-Isanti Rotary Club as both chairman of the International Committee and club treasurer. He also serves on the council at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti. Dan holds his FINRA Series 7 securities registration.

Personal
Dan grew up on a family farm east of Isanti and continues to enjoy outdoor and recreational activities such as golfing, hunting, curling, and biking. He is married to his wife, Kathy, and has one daughter and three grandchildren.
