John is cofounder of Newton Financial Solutions and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary^®designee. While logging more than 18 years of experience, John has become deeply committed to doing what is in the best interest of his clients, helping them to pursue what they define as their financial success. John not only recommends investments, but he also strives to optimize client’s portfolios for tax purposes, estate planning, planning for children’s college, and charitable giving. He is the lead investment researcher for the team and has an extensive history in finding what he believes is the right investment especially as it relates to risks within a portfolio and goals of the client.

John attended Northwestern University in St. Paul, MN, and worked for Edward Jones for five years before joining his dad in the creation of Newton Financial Solutions, LLC. John holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations and has been certified as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary^®designee.

Personal
John and his wife, Marci, have a sports enthusiast 18-year-old boy named Michael, a 15-year-old girl who loves to sing named Grace, a 12-year-old boy who loves construction and Nerf guns named Timothy, and two very boisterous dog named Barkley! They have helped raise a foster son who has graduated from high school and gone on to college. They have also hosted two exchange students from Korea and have hosted another child from a family serving in the U.S. military. John has coached soccer for Cambridge Christian School. John and Tim enjoy going to baseball stadiums and recently completed their goal of attending every major league baseball stadium in the country! John is also a blue belt in judo and loves playing the bass guitar. John grew up in Cambridge and resides in the country, just outside of town. In 2017, John traveled to Antarctica on vacation!
